- Louise Michel (1830-1905) was a French anarchist, who played a key role in the revolutionary events of the Paris Commune (1871).
- After a harsch military repression of the Commune, most of the Communards leaders were sentenced to death or condemned to deportation to New Caledonia, as Louise Michel. This unique document is the original trial form of Louise Michel, which lists her charges before the trial.

- [transcription of the 3rd paragraph]: "Prévention suffisamment établie (1) d’avoir en 1871 à Paris, dans un moment insurrectionnel porté des armes apparentes étant revêtue d’un uniforme et d’avoir fait usage de ces armes comme prévu et réprimé par l’article 9 de la loi du 24 mai 1884"
